ATHANASIOU WINERY

Athanasiou family is viticulturally involved in Nemea since 1855, when family's great great grandfather had merely a 0.5 hectare vineyard, planted with the Agiorgitiko grape variety. The family continued its tradition until 2007 when created a modern winery at the center of the Nemea region. Athanasiou winery emphasize on the cultivation of the most important native Greek grape varieties. Such as Agiorgitiko, Assyrtiko and Moschofilero grape varieties. It is the 1st winery in the region created a "natural" red Agiorgitiko (PDO NEMEA) and the first methode traditionnelle in Nemea.
