Athanasiou Wines

The Athanasiou family has been viticulturally involved in Nemea since 1855, when the family's great great grandfather had a mere 0.5 hectares of vineyard, planted with the Agiorgitiko variety. The family continued its tradition until 2007 when they created a modern winery at the heart of the Nemea region. Athanasiou winery focuses on the cultivation of the most important native Greek grape varieties, such as Agiorgitiko, Assyrtiko and Moschofilero. It is the first winery in the region creating a "natural" red Agiorgitiko (PDO NEMEA) and the first methode traditionnelle in Nemea.
