About
Richard and Jill McIntyre bought the 20-acre, north-facing property at Moorooduc, at the northern end of the Mornington Peninsula, in 1982 with the intention of planting vines and producing wine. The Mornington Peninsula, with its cool maritime climate was at that time a new wine region which has become known for quality Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Today, Richard leases 3 other vineyards and is still hands-on, supported by Jill, winemaker Jeremy Magyar and daughter Kate McIntyre MW. They specialise in hand crafted, wild fermented, small batch wines that speak of variety and site.
