Roederer Cristal Brut 2015
Roederer Cristal being one of the most sought-after prestige cuvées in the world, shows in the new vintage 2015 its timeless elegance und magic balance. For the first time since 2002, the 2015 vintage comes from all 45 vineyard parcels over 20 years old that are eligible for the assemblage of Louis Roederer's legendary cuvée. “A perfect Cristal, intense with enormous ageing potential", says Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, chef de cave at Champagne Louis Roederer.
Kühling-Gillot Pettenthal Großes Gewächs 2021
Pettenthal is one of the historic sites in the Rote Hang which has been recognized for its unique terroir and outstanding character already 100 years ago. Carolin Spanier-Gillot feels very lucky today that her father believed in its potential and bought a parcel in the late 80ies which is the steepest in Rheinhessen. Kühling-Gillot´s 2021 Pettenthal with its finesse, perfect maturity and power in equal measure is certainly one of the great Rieslings of the vintage.
Gaja Rossj-Bass 2021
Angelo Gaja is already a myth in his own lifetime. Like no other, he revolutionised Piedmontese viticulture and vinification following the French model. And he was also the first one to plant international grape varieties like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc in Barbaresco and Serralunga in 1983. His white Rossj-Bass today is a real classic: made from grapes coming from the site Rossj (which is named after Angelos's daughter Rosanna), the vintage 2021 combines freshness, almost salty minerality with full-bodied elegance and extraordinary balance.
Lungarotti Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio 2005
Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio, a wine made from 70% Sangiovese and 30% Canaiolo, is one of the first true Italian Crus, born in 1964, when Giorgio Lungarotti realised that different plots in the Rubesco vineyard were showing higher concentration and better quality of grapes than others. Today, Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio is only made from the best vintages and the vintage 2005 is the epitome of the classic style playing on finesse and elegance which Giorgio Lungarotti had as a vision for his Rubesco Riserva.
