Harvest Notes

The season was preceded by a wet winter and spring, the driest November since 1999 - so there were no issues around flowering or fruit set - and then the wettest December since 1996. This was followed by a long, dry Indian summer, with maximum temperatures mirroring the long-term average.

Vinification

A blend of Sauvignon Blanc (63%) and Semillon (37%) was selectively picked and then whole-bunch-pressed straight to barrel with no additions undergoing a wild-yeast fermentation.

Maturation

10 months barrel aging. During this time, monthly fine lees stirring was undertaken to enhance both mouthfeel and length.

Oak influence: The barrel format used was mainly French barriques, but some puncheons were also employed. 20% of the oak was new.
Months in bottle: 10
