Description

Brilliant yellow with greenish hues. An elegant aromatic wine with an intense fruity character. The aromas of apricot, peach and toffee are dominant. Creamy palate with crisp acidity and a long aftertaste. Serve at 10-12C.

Vineyard: Melissokipos

In the semi-mountainous Melissokipos area, at an altitude of 650m with an intense slope # 25% & NE-W direction. This vineyard is pruned very strictly in order to reduce its high fertile buds.

Cold and humid winters with low temperatures that drop below the freezing point. Summers are warm, but with cooling airs during the day . Tempearatures between day and night vary a lot.

Yield: 0.7 hl/ha

Soil Type

Calcareous soil. with low organic content. On the slopes of the hills where most of the vineyards are located,

Vinification

50 % of the grapes remain for skin contact for a few hours at cold temperatures. Must is then fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tank at 18C. At the end of fermentation wine is left on its fine lees for a 2 months in order to gain structure and body.
