Vineyard
The steep slopes are free of harmful environmental influences and have a microclimate very similar to that of the Mediterranean. With an annual average temperature of 11°C, the winters on the Ahr can also be described as quite mild.

Soil Type
In the lower Ahr valley the soils are often deep and rich in loess, in the middle Ahr valley there is slate and volcanic rock.
Vinification
Aged in barriques of French oak for about 14 months.
Maturation
Bottle aging of about 6 months.
