Vineyard
Höhereck is the name of a barren ridge between the Flickatal and the Menthalgraben lying between the Kellerberg and the Loibenberg. Because of the extensive dry grassland that is dedicated to nature conservation, most of the area is not used for wine-growing. This and the associated small surface area are probably also the reason why its name is much less known in the wine world than the surrounding vineyards, even though the vineyard provides the same ideal basic conditions as its neighbours. The vineyard can be easily located by the war memorial lying at the foot of the mountain.
