Description

Only selected grapes of the highest quality, specially vinified by our cellar master as well as with award-winning potential: that is Burkheimer ViniGrande. This Pinot Noir ViniGrande matured for 15 months in barriques. In the glass it is a dark ruby red. On the nose, a typical, spicy and powerful Pinot Noir with red berries makes itself felt. In the mouth follows a lot of spice, power and sweet fruit with a full body. The already soft tannins provides richness. Enjoy this very special red wine with game, goose, lamb, roast beef and pork, beef fillet and steaks.

Yield: 60 hl/ha

Soil Type

Volcanic weathering rock on the Feuerberg in a sunny southern exposure.

Vinification

Selected grapes, open-top maceration. Aged for 15 months in Allier oak barrels with two rackings.

Maturation

Our 2020 ViniGrande Pinot Noir red wine was bottled in July 2022 and has thus been aged in bottle for 11 months.

Oak influence: French oak is considered particularly fine-pored and thus supports a slow and harmonious aging of the wine. In the wine, it often shows elegant nuances of cinnamon or even cloves and always remains discreetly in the background. French oak is therefore particularly suitable for the aging of elegant and finesse-rich red wines.
