Australia, Tasmania
Pinot Noir, Shiraz
Download info sheet

The 2021 vintage was incredible as we had plenty of rain to fill the dams and keep everything green and growing well. The Estate Pinot Noir is a combination of traditional winemaking and newer trials like carbonic maceration and barrel fermentation. There is a purity of Tamar Valley Pinot Noir fruit with incredible aging potential.

Harvest Notes

The 2021 Tamar Ridge Pinot Noir Is the culmination of many different blocks and clones from our Kayena and Rosevears Vineyards in the north of the Tamar Valley. Harvest Dates 21/3 to 14/4.

De-stemmed fruit was cold soaked and plunged twice a day just to wet cap. A fusion of traditional techniques and modern winemaking concepts were used. Barrel fermentation and varbonic maceration are both methods included in this blend to add complexity. Bright ruby beautifully fragrant red currants and raspberry, great vinosity and lift, stalky and smoky earthy spice add complexity to the mid palate.
