Weingut Pawis

In November 1990, Irene and Herbert Pawis founded a small winery with only 0.5 hectares of vineyards in the Freyburg Ehrau Mountains with an attached wine bar. To this day, the wine tavern is a popular meeting place and invites you to enjoy wine in a romantic atmosphere.

In 1998, son Bernard Pawis took over the estate and built a modern one with the new building Winery laid the foundation for rapid development. The vineyard area is now 11 ha. In October 2001, it was accepted into the Association of German Prädikat Wineries (VDP).
