About
This family-run winery has cultivated about 20 ha of vineyards in and around the village of Loiben since 1825. Nearly a third of these are planted in stone-terraced sites. In addition to the main varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, Gelber Muskateller and Gelber Traminer are especially dear to the family. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir complete the assortment. The best known crus are Schutt, Loibenberg, Kellerberg and Kreutles, and in nearby Kremstal, Pfaffenberg. Besides classic, dry Wachau wines, dessert wines from Auslese to TBA are also produced when the weather conditions allow.
