Weingut Riffel

Riffel is a family winery in Germany's famous wine growing area, Rheinhessen. Located at the confluence of Rhine and Nahe rivers in Bingen am Rhein, the winery has been run by Carolin and Erik Riffel since 2005. Riffel cultivates wine in the 4th generation, with Erik becoming cellarmaster in 1992 after his training as a vintner. The winery has followed organic principles since 2009, converting to biodynamic viticulture in 2012. Riffel owns 18 hectares of vineyards and produce Riesling, Silvaner and Pinots in top sites: the Grand Cru vineyards Scharlachberg and Kirchberg. Quartzite Soils.
